Morning Call - September 12, 2020
Dry, fine for many
Rain northwest

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 12th September 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

It will be a dry and fine day for many across much of England, Ireland and Wales today. Cloud thickens further to the north and west with outbreaks of rain affecting northwestern parts of Ireland, parts of Northern Ireland and much of Scotland where it will become locally very heavy to the west through the evening.

Good Morning,

A bright and breezy start to the day across Scotland with scattered showers, these most frequent to the north and west. Cloudier elsewhere as a weak cold front passes south over Wales and England. Brightening behind this but high cloud persists over much of England and Wales.

Cloud thickens over northwestern parts of Ireland and into western Scotland ahead of an area of very heavy rain arriving here. Rain affects the far northwest of Ireland, much of Northern Ireland and Scotland and spreads into the northwest of England as the afternoon progresses. Staying mostly dry for much of Ireland and England as well as Wales with the best of the sun over central parts of England.

Rain persists into the evening for northwest Ireland, much of Scotland and into the north of England and it will continue breezy for these areas too. A dry evening elsewhere with the best of the late sun over the Midlands.

Have a good day!

Claire
