Rain to the west later

A transient ridge of higher pressure brings a mostly dry and fair day to the UK. Cloudier over Ireland with rain arriving from the west here later.

Good Morning,

The day starts dry and fine for many across the UK and Ireland today. Lingering rain over southeastern parts of England should clear over the North Sea through the morning. A scattering of showers may affect western parts of Ireland and Scotland as well as Irish Sea coasts of England and Wales.

Through the afternoon, rain arrives over far western counties of Ireland and cloud builds over far western parts of the UK. Some patchy light rain may also spread into western parts of Scotland later too. Otherwise staying mostly dry across the UK with the best of the sun to the east.

Rain spreads across Ireland and into Northern Ireland and western Scotland through the evening while cloud continues to build over western and central parts of the UK. Staying largely dry across England, Wales and eastern Scotland with the best of the evening sun to the east.

Have a good day!

Claire
