Morning Call - September 27, 2020
Chilly start
Cloud building

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 27th September 2020
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Another chilly and bright start for many but cloud will thicken in the north and west. Largely dry but with showers still in the southeast.

A chilly start to the day with parts of Scotland seeing a touch of ground frost in places and possibly even some mist and fog patches. Plenty of sunshine during the morning but cloud will thicken in the north and across west Ireland. Staying dry. However, south eastern parts of England will again be troubled by some showers feeding in from the sea.

The afternoon will see increased cloud across Scotland but it should remain dry. Increased cloud too across Ireland bringing the threat of some patchy rain in the far west later. Showers being confined to the coasts over southeast England allowing for mainly dry conditions elsewhere with the best of sunny spells in the west.

Overnight, any rain lingering in the southeast will stay confined to the coasts. Staying cloudy across the southeast quarter of England. Cloudy too for much of Scotland, western Ireland and Northern Ireland as rain continues to spread in from the west. Dry with some clear spells elsewhere but with generally more cloud about temperatures will be cool but not as cool as of late.
