Morning Call - September 01, 2020
Largely dry
Rain in west

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 1st September 2020
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Cloudy in the north and west with patchy light rain. Drier and sunnier elsewhere. Heavier spells of rain in the west overnight.

Starting cool again for many places, it will be a largely dry morning for most with sunny spells and patchy cloud about. However, much of Ireland, Northern Ireland and west Scotland will be cloudier and there will be some patchy, light rain about.

In the afternoon, cloud will build once again across England and Wales as well as eastern Scotland although it will feel pleasantly warm in any longer lasting sunshine. Meanwhile, in the north and west, cloud cover will continue to thicken with still some patchy, light rain about though not accumulating to much.

Dry for most through the first part of the night although a thicker cloud cover in the west. A more organised band of rain then spreads eastwards across Ireland and Northern Ireland and into the far west of Scotland by morning. Cloud will gradually thicken elsewhere but with clear spells lasting longest in the east.
