Unsettled with rain and showers
Unsettled weather prevails through the forecast period with rain and or showers on most days, heavy at times. The Atlantic flow though does keep temperatures reasonably mild.

Friday 17/3/23 Low pressure over Ireland on Friday. Cloud and showers over Ireland and western parts of the UK. The showers could be heavy and thundery as well as prolonged at times. Showers merging in to longer spells of rain as they push across Scotland later. Brighter in the east of England with sunny spells and fewer showers. Highs near 8C in northern Scotland, 14C in the south.
Saturday 18/3/23 Low pressure sits close by Scotland on Saturday giving further showers and longer spells of rain to northern areas of Scotland in particular. Sunny spells and showers elsewhere. Highs at 9 to 13C.
Sunday 19/3/23 Sunday sees a dry morning across Scotland and eastern areas of England before spells of rain move in from the west. Rain turns patchy and showery across England and Wales where winds will strengthen, heavy further north, though the north of Scotland dry until evening. Highs at 7 to 11C.
Monday 20/3/23 An area of low pressure may cross southern areas on Monday bringing cloud and periods of rain, before clearing much of England and Wales in to the afternoon. The heavier rain moves in to Scotland. Highs at 7 to 14C.
Tuesday 21/3/23 A chillier day on Tuesday but mostly dry with plenty of sunshine. Some showers about, these falling wintry across northern Scotland. Feeling even colder exposed to the wind. Tops at 4C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.
Wednesday 22/3/23 A dry yet frosty start for many, before more rain moves in from the Atlantic and winds start to strengthen across the south. Highs at 4 to 10C.
