Rain and windy as well as a milder few days, then turning colder and drier later

An unsettled and milder start to the week ahead. Winy on some days too with most rain in the west and south of the UK and Ireland. Turning colder again towards the end of the week and into the weekend, becoming drier for a few days too.

Thursday 30/3/23
Cloud and periods of showery rain passing eastwards through the country. The showers heavy over western areas. A few brighter skies in the east, although all areas tending to see showers in the afternoon. Cloud and rain in southern Ireland later, this also arriving into southwest England in the evening. Highs at 11 to 14C.
 

Friday 31/3/23
Severe gales and heavy rain for the southern parts of England overnight into Friday with low pressure then situated over the British isles. This will be bringing heavy showers in southern and western areas. Heavy and thundery showers across many areas in the afternoon although the far north of Scotland drier with sunny spells. Temperatures at 9 to 13C.

Saturday 1/4/23
Low pressure remains over the British Isles on Saturday. This gives heavy showers, some of them prolonged and thundery. It may be drier and brighter in northern Scotland. Breezy in the south and west. Highs at 8 to 12C.

Sunday 2/4/23
Pressure stays mostly low on Sunday. A few showers in southern areas but these will be clearing south. Tending to become brighter and colder from the north as pressure builds here. Sunny spells developing. Highs at 7 to 10C.

Monday 3/4/23
A morning frost with higher pressure tending to build over the British Isles on Monday. It should be dry with good spells of sunshine. A risk of some showers in northern Scotland. Highs at 7 to 10C.

Tuesday 4/4/23
Lower pressure west of Ireland bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain. Drier in central and eastern areas of the British Isles. Brighter here too. Tops at 9 to 11C.
