Sunday 12/3/23
A brief ridge of high pressure brings a largely dry start to Sunday and on a developing southwesterly wind flow milder temperatures will push in for most today. Cloud will soon thicken though and outbreaks of rain are expected to push in across western areas initially before moving east through the day. The winds strengthening to near gale and gale force for some by the end of the day. Highs rising to 8 to 13C for most, still a chilly north Scotland with highs here at 4 or 5C.

Monday 13/3/23
An unsettled day on Monday with high winds, gales to strong gale force for some, before eventually easing later. Showery rain for many, some heavy and persistent spells expected, but also dry periods with sunny spells. Some areas may stay dry for the whole day. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 14C in southern England.

Tuesday 14/3/23
With the airflow turning back round from the north briefly come Tuesday it could start off on a frosty note for some in the north. A chillier start for all generally but temperatures will recover to more like average highs across England and Wales. Winds continue to ease first thing and a largely dry day with sunny spells is currently expected. Cloud thickening with rain moving in to the far west by the end of the day. Highs at 7 to 13C, colder across northern Scotland.

Wednesday 15/3/23
Another frosty start across parts of Scotland on Wednesday where it looks to be a dry and fine day with sunshine. Mild elsewhere though cloudy with outbreaks of rain. Windy in the far south. Highs at 11 to 14C across central and southern England and Wales, 4 to 7C further north.

Thursday 16/3/23
Outbreaks of rain across more northern areas on Thursday with a brisk wind about for many. Largely dry across southern and south-eastern areas. Highs at 8 to 13C for most, though still cold across north and central Scotland with highs here at 4 to 7C.

Friday 17/3/23
A rather cloudy day with showers as well as longer spells of rain about, some places though staying dry. Highs at 7 to 14C.
