Low pressure dominates at first, bringing rain or showers to the south and west. Pressure builds during the week, bringing more settled weather generally, although this may become a rather cloudy high.

Sunday 11/11/18
Low pressure to the west of Ireland drifts northeast. Showers, some heavy and prolonged for western areas with a lengthier spell of rain for a time in southernmost counties of England. Drier with spells of sunshine for central and eastern parts. Highs 9 to 13C.
 

Monday 12/11/18
Low pressure to the west of Scotland drifts northeast with the risk of a shallow low and associated fronts brushing the southeast of England. Further showers in western areas with the threat of a spell of rain in the south and southeast. Largely dry with spells of sunshine for central and most eastern areas, though. Highs 10 to 14C.
 

Tuesday 13/11/18
A ridge of high pressure builds across England and Wales but frontal troughs move east into Western Ireland and Scotland later. Sunny spells with showers, chiefly in western areas, dying out. Rain reaches the north and west overnight. Highs 10 to 14C.

Wednesday 14/11/18
Frontal troughs slow-moving near to northern and western areas with a ridge persisting across England and Wales. Rain, heavy at times, in the north and west. Dry in the east and south with some sunshine. Highs 11 to 15C.

Thursday 15/11/18
A ridge of high pressure covers much of Britain and Ireland, with a weak, slow-moving frontal trough to the north and northwest of Scotland. Light rain or drizzle at times in the far north and northwest, otherwise dry elsewhere but mostly cloudy. Highs 11 to 16C.

Friday 16/11/18
A ridge of high pressure continues to cover much of Britain and Ireland. Some sunny intervals but with mostly cloudy skies overall, the cloud perhaps thick enough to give a few drizzly outbreaks. Highs 8 to 11C in the north, 13 to 16C in the south.
