Wettest in the west

It's a changeable outlook for the first 10 days of November, as southwesterly winds bring frontal systems in from the Atlantic. Periods of wind and rain are expected, with wettest conditions focused on western Britain and Ireland. However, temperatures will be on the mild side, with frost becoming rare.

Sunday 04/11/18
A front is expected to reside across England and Wales producing a cloudy day with some rain, although this may slowly fade. Some heavier bursts toward the south-west. South-eastern England should escape mainly dry and fairly mild. Cooler toward the north-west, with sunny periods for Scotland and Ireland. Showery in western Scotland. A south to southwesterly breeze, strongest near coasts and toward northern areas. Highs 9 to 13C.

Monday 05/11/18
Low pressure toward the south-west may continue to feed spells of rain into south-west England, south Wales and the south of Ireland, but may be patchy in nature. Many places should get away with a dry day beneath slack pressure. Fairly cloudy, and dull for some, with fog in the morning. A light south to southeasterly airflow. Temperatures on the mild side night and day, highs 9 to 13C.

Tuesday 06/11/18
A strengthening southerly breeze is likely. Fronts pushing north-eastwards bring cloud and pulses of rain, some heavy bursts focused on west & south-western areas. Driest toward the east, with occasional sun. Breezy, or windy around western coasts. Generally mild and avoiding frost overnight, highs 10 to 14C.
 

Wednesday 07/11/18
A changeable outlook, with southwesterly winds pushing bands of rain in from the Atlantic. Showery at times, but some persistent rain possible, mainly in the west. Breezy, but quite mild, highs 9 to 13C.

Thursday 08/11/18
A south to southwesterly flow continues. Rain at times, heaviest and most prolonged in the west & southwest. Brightest in the north-east. Mild, 10 to 14C.

Friday 09/11/18
An ongoing mixed outlook. Southwesterly winds continue, with rain or showers, wettest in the west. Breezy. Highs 9 to 13C.
