A mild and unsettled week, heavy rain in the west

A mild week ahead but one which will be unsettled. There will be periods of rain, heavy at times with most of it being in the west. It is likely to be windy on several days too with the windiest weather possibly in southern parts of England and Wales towards the weekend. Cooler as the weekend progresses and for the early stages of next week.

Thursday 8/11/18
Low pressure to the west with higher pressure to the east on Thursday. There will be cloud and rain in western areas, but the east should be drier. The rain heavy in the west. Broken cloud and some sunny spells. Highs at 9 to 13C.
 

Friday 9/11/18
Low pressure remains to the west pushing fronts eastwards. This front takes rain eastwards. Drier weather follows for a time, but then further periods of heavy rain as well as strong winds cross Ireland, Wales, the Midlands and southern England. Brighter in western Scotland and the far north of England. Gales in the south. Highs at 9 to 13C.

 

Saturday 10/11/18
The area of low pressure remains over the country on Saturday. Rain continues in the far southeast. Other areas will be brighter with sunny spells and showers. Most showers will be in the west and it will be turning cooler too. Highs at 8 to 12C.

 
 
 

Sunday 11/11/18
Low pressure stays to the west of Ireland on Sunday. This brings a further area of rain across Ireland, Wales and southern England, this then spreading north during the day. Brighter in Scotland and mostly dry. Highs at 7 to 12C.

Monday 12/11/18
Low pressure is in control again on Monday. Rain or showers, some of them heavy. A few bright spells here and there. Highs at 9 to 13C.

Tuesday 13/11/18
The area of low pressure continues to bring showers or periods of rain in the south. More northern areas will be drier and brighter with sunny spells. Highs at a cooler 7 to 11C.
