A good deal of sunshine spreading from the west to most parts but eastern England will hang on to rain

Good morning,

A fine day for much of Scotland with a good deal of sunshine, just a few light showers dotted around western coasts. Sunny spells develop across England and Wales too as rain clears from the west. However, the rain will be slow to clear from easternmost counties of England.

Highs 8 to 11C in the north, 11 to 14C in the south.
