A wet start and end to the day for western areas, dry and bright everywhere else
Good morning,
Showers for northwest England and southwest Scotland at first today though these will ease throughout the morning to leave a dry day for most. It will remain cloudy in the west with the best of the sunshine in eastern Ireland, Northern Ireland, eastern Scotland, Wales and southern England.
Moderate southwesterly winds will affect Wales, southern England, central Scotland and any exposed areas. High temperatures will widely reach 10 to 12C today though parts of southern England and Wales will see 14 to 15C.
By this evening's rush hour we will see a band of heavy rain pushing into western Ireland and the Western Isles. This rain will persist throughout the evening and overnight.
Have a great day!
Claire
