Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Persistently damp east; some heavy rain south-west

Good morning,

High pressure stays to the north-east of Britain today, whilst low pressure is to the south-west. Chilly, dull and damp for many places.

Frequent rain or drizzle in north-east England and eastern Scotland. Snow on the mountains. Brightest in the north-west of Britain, also Northern Ireland.

Heavy showery bursts for Cornwall and parts of Devon, which may become frequent for a few hours. Little rain for central areas, but it will feel generally damp.

Today's top temperatures will struggle at 4 to 6C for most, but nearer 10C in the far south.

Have a great day.
Garry
