Plenty of cloud around the UK and Ireland on Tuesday morning. Patchy outbreaks of rain extending through central Ireland and into north Wales and northern England. A further area of showery rain in central and eastern Scotland. Brighter weather in northern and western Scotland with sunny spells and isolated showers. Feeling chilly for all. Showery bursts of rain become heavier in northern England and southern Scotland as well as Northern Ireland this afternoon. More persistent rain arriving in southwest England and southern Ireland later. Highs at 16C in southeast England, 7C in northern Scotland.

Tuesday Night
Becoming wet and windy tonight as rain spreads northwards into southern Ireland, Wales and much of England. The rain heavy at times. Rain in central and eastern Scotland, breezy here too. Drier in the west of Scotland with some clearer spells here. Lows at 3 to 8C.
 

Wednesday
A complex area of low pressure affects the whole of the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. Heavy periods of rain affecting many areas, but tending to be focussed through Wales, the Midlands, northern England, Ireland and southern Scotland. Heavy showers following into southern England. The rain more patchy in western and northern Scotland as well as western Ireland. Windy in eastern Scotland and northeast England with a risk of gales. Temperatures at 6C in northern Scotland, 15C in southeast England.

Thursday
Low pressure drifts into the North Sea on Thursday. Occluded fronts wrapped around the low will be bringing cloud, rain and strong winds to much of eastern and southern Scotland and northeast England. Showers in England and Wales with some sunny spells, the showers heavy in northern and western Wales. Further heavy showers or longer spells of rain in Northern Ireland, but more scattered showers in southern Ireland. Tops near 7 to 13C.
