Wednesday
Areas of rain are expected to move in erratically from the west as a warm front extends in from the Atlantic. Rain and drizzle affects Ireland, Wales & southwest England with a strengthening southwesterly breeze. Gradually, damp conditions will extend further into central & northwest England. Very little rain toward the east & northeast, but becoming mostly cloudy. Scotland will be cloudy with areas of showery rain locally. Highs 13 to 18C, locally warmer in the Midlands & east.

Wednesday night
Drizzly rain passes eastwards across many areas, although amounts small in the east and southeast. More persistent rain is likely to affect the hills of west Wales, northwest England and southwest Scotland. Rain on and off for the north and west of Ireland too. Cloudy skies, a southwesterly breeze and a humid air mass across the British Isles will keep things mild. Lows 11 to 14C for many, although perhaps below 7C in northern Scotland.

Thursday
A complex series of fronts will trail eastwards across the British Isles. Areas of rain, most persistent for northwest England, southern Scotland and Northern Ireland. Rain on and off for west Wales. A little patchy rain elsewhere across England, whilst many eastern areas will stay largely dry, but rather cloudy. Drier also for northern Scotland. A brisk westerly breeze in the south. Lighter winds toward the north. Up to 20C in eastern England, 13 to 17C elsewhere.

Friday
High pressure builds across southern Britain, and a warm, humid southwesterly airflow moves in from the Atlantic. Fronts are likely to affect Ireland and western Scotland with low cloud and rain or drizzle, wettest for the West Highlands. Murk and dampness also affects western coasts of England & Wales with fog around coasts and hills. Largely dry for the Midlands, south and east, and feeling warmer. Highs 16 to 22C.
