Friday
High pressure builds across southern Britain, and a warm, humid southwesterly airflow moves in from the Atlantic. Fronts affecting Ireland and western Scotland bringing low cloud and rain or drizzle, wettest for the West Highlands. Murk and dampness may also affect northwestern coasts of England & Wales with fog around coasts and hills. Largely dry for the Midlands, south and east, and feeling warmer here. Breezy for Irish Sea coasts. Highs from 13 or 14C in the northwest of Scotland to 21 or 22C in parts of central and southern England.


Friday night
Rain clearing to the northeast through the evening and overnight though it may linger over the Northern Isles. Dry elsewhere with clearer skies for eastern areas, cloud building from the west. A few showers may develop for western coastal parts of Ireland and Scotland through the early hours. Overnight lows dropping to 7 to 9C for Scotland and the island of Ireland, 10 to 14C in England and Wales.


Saturday
High pressure builds to the east on Saturday. Varying amounts of cloud around through the day. Murky with some drizzly outbreaks of rain for western parts of Scotland and Ireland. Brighter to the east. Showers spreading across Ireland and Scotland through the afternoon turning to more prolonged and heavier outbreaks of rain for Ireland later. Staying mostly dry for England and Wales. Breezy in the west. High temperatures at 14 to 17C for Scotland and the island of Ireland, 18 to 25C for England and Wales.


Sunday
An area of low pressure arrives to the northwest of Ireland and sends fronts across the British Isles. A wet start to the day for Scotland and eastern parts of Ireland, dry but overcast for much of England and Wales. Rain will spread into England and Wales becoming increasingly showery though there will be some heavy bursts for Cumbria. Showers behind this to the west for Ireland and Scotland. Southeastern parts of England should stay dry. Highs up to 27C in the southeast. More widely at 19 to 24C across England, 15 to 17C for the island of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
