Morning Call - June 18, 2021
SE more heavy rain
Drier elsewhere

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 18th June 2021
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Cloudy, wet and muggy across the southeast of England. Drier, brighter and fresher further north and west.

Another cloudy morning across much of England into eastern parts of Wales. Expect outbreaks of rain, heavy and perhaps thundery in places, across the south and southeast of England. Largely dry elsewhere with sunshine for Scotland, Northern Ireland, west Wales and Ireland.

In the afternoon, rain will become light and patchy across many southern English counties and become confined to Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Kent, East Anglia and Greater London. Further north and west there will be some sunny spells but cloud will fill in more for many. Largely dry but with some showers developing across central parts of Scotland.

Rain will gradually clear offshore from east Anglia overnight. Some patchy light rain across parts of Scotland, Wales and western areas of England, but largely dry elsewhere just with rather a lot of cloudy skies about.
