Cloud for many, best sun in the south and becoming fresher in the north
Sunny to start the day across many southern parts of England, although cloud is going to be increasing as the day progresses. It will be warm again across many central, southern and south eastern parts of England with temperatures into the mid to high 20s. Always cloudy skies across Ireland, northern England and much of Scotland this morning and feeling much fresher here with some showery outbreaks of rain affecting western Scotland.
This afternoon sees plenty of cloud for most areas, although still some brightness affecting Wales in southern England. There will be some bright spells to across northern parts of Scotland, although some early showers over western coastal hills, but these tend to fade. Heavy showers affecting Shetland where it will also be windy.
Overnight it turns fresher for almost all areas, although staying muggy in the south-east. There will be a fair amount of cloud, but some clear skies across central parts of Scotland and northern England as well as Ireland.
