Thundery showers in SE
Drier elsewhere

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 4th June 2021
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Heavy and thundery showers for southeast England.

In the morning, many places staying largely dry and fine with sunny spells, however, southeast England including East Anglia will see more cloud cover and showers push up from the near continent. These look likely to be heavy and thundery in places. Patchy, light rain expected across the far west of Scotland.

The afternoon will see the heavy and thundery showers continue across the southeast but gradually clear from the west. More of a risk of some patchy light rain and drizzle across northern and western Ireland into Northern Ireland. Sunny spells and mostly dry weather elsewhere.

Thundery, heavy showers across the southeast will gradually push offshore through the night. Much of England, eastern Wales and much of Scotland will see clear skies and stay dry, however, further west expect more cloud cover with some patchy, mostly light, rain about.
