Sunny spells
Scattered showers

A mostly dry and bright day across the UK and Ireland. Feeling cool with isolated showers developing at times.

Good morning,

A dry and bright start to the day for most across the UK and Ireland on Sunday. Cloudier to the east with showery outbreaks of rain for northeastern parts of Scotland and, later, northeastern parts of England too. Isolated showers affecting far western and far eastern parts of Ireland too. Dry elsewhere throughout the morning with good spells of sunshine developing over western areas.

Into the afternoon and rain over southeastern Scotland and northeastern England tends to become more showery in nature. Isolated showers affect southwestern parts of Wales and England too. Cloud tends to build across the country through the afternoon though there will still be some spells of sunshine for central and northern areas. A cool day overall with highs ranging from 7C in the north of Scotland to 13 or 14C in the far southeast of England.

Showers and outbreaks of rain tend to ease for most areas into Sunday evening though an area of low pressure to the southeast brings outbreaks of rain, some of them heavy, to southeastern England through the late evening and overnight.

Have a good day!

Claire
