Mixed and cool, becoming drier and milder, then cooler again next week

A cool and mixed start to the week with cloud and periods of rain. Feeling cool too. By the end of the week pressure will be building bringing milder conditions and drier weather. Rain may affect Scotland and there is a risk of gales here. The weekend is likely to be warmer for a time, but a risk of cooler weather returning next week.

Thursday 12/9/19
A weak of high pressure to the south will be bringing fair conditions and good spells of sunshine here on Thursday. A further front gives showery bursts of rain in northern England and Wales, whilst a few showers affecting western Scotland. Dry for other areas with sunny spells. Highs at 23C in the sunshine to the southeast. 12C in northern Scotland, 16 to 19C for most other areas.


Friday 13/9/19
High pressure builds on Friday as he remains of a front bring some morning cloud to southern coasts of England. Most areas will be fine and dry with good spells of sunshine. Some cloud and drizzle for northern and western Scotland. Temperatures here at 15 to 17C, but to 22C in the sunshine in central and southern areas.
 


Saturday 14/9/19
Low pressure passes to the north of Scotland on Saturday. This brings rain and a risk of gale force winds with it. Most rain in western Scotland, with lighter rain in the far north of Ireland. England and Wales should be dry with sunny spells, the best in the south. Highs at 23C in southern England, 14C in northern Scotland.
 


Sunday 15/9/19
More rain in Scotland on Sunday and this could affect Northern Ireland too. Some cloud and a few spots of drizzle in northwest England but otherwise eastern Scotland and the rest of England, Wales and eastern Ireland should be fair. Highs at 24C in the sunshine in southern England, 14C in northern Scotland.


Monday 16/9/19
Pressure is high for most on Monday. Some coud and patchy rain may affect central Ireland, Wales and the central swathe of England. Generally the day will be dry and bright to the south and north of this area. Highs around 24C in southern England, 11C in northern Scotland.

Tuesday 17/9/19
Cooler weather sinking south through Scotland on Tuesday bringing sunshine and isolated showers. Drier to the south with sunny spells. Highs at 7C in northern Scotland, 22C in southern England.
