Becoming more settled and warmer after rain and showers

Rain and showers during the next few days. Pressure is then going to be building through the later part of the week and into the weekend. This allows for drier conditions, although wind and rain in northern Scotland. High pressure remains next week with some uncertainty in the locations of the high and hence temperatures.

Friday 13/9/19
Higher pressure building through Friday. This gives broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells to much of England, Wales, Ireland, southern and eastern Scotland. Showers in northern and western Scotland as well as northern coasts of Ireland. Breezy in northern Scotland too. Highs at 22C in southeast England, 14C in northern Scotland.

Saturday 14/9/19
High pressure over southern areas on Saturday bringing a dry day with sunny spells. Cloud, wind and rain affecting the far north of Scotland with a risk of gales here. Temperatures at 23C in southern England, 14C in northern Scotland.

 
 
 

Sunday 15/9/19
Low pressure passes to the north of Scotland on Saturday. This brings rain and a risk of gale force winds with it. Most rain in western Scotland, with lighter rain in the far north of Ireland. England and Wales should be dry with sunny spells after morning mist and fog patches have cleared. The best of the sunshine in the south. Highs at 24C in southern England, 14C in northern Scotland.

Monday 16/9/19
A weak front may bring some cloud into Northern Ireland and northern England on Monday. High pressure is centred over the UK and Ireland giving lots of dry weather but broken cloud too. There will be sunny spells. Highs at 24C in southern areas, 12C in northern Scotland.

Tuesday 17/9/19
Pressure is likely to be staying high on Tuesday. It may be a cooler day but should be dry overall. Sunny spells for many. A risk of some showers in northern and eastern Scotland. Temperatures at 10 to 18C.

Wednesday 18/9/19
Pressure stays high on Wednesday. It may be cool to the north and east with western areas being brighter and drier. A few showers north and east. Highs at 9 to 19C.
