Rain and showers mostly in the north and west, some cool days and nights

The weather is going to be staying mixed through the week. Low pressure areas blow fronts eastwards bring rain and showers at times, most in the north of the UK and western Ireland. Some cooler days and nights with temperatures generally around average for the time of year.

Thursday 5/9/19
A warm front moving east through Scotland and Northern Ireland bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most in the west. A few showers in eastern England at first, these fading. Most of the rest of the UK and Ireland should be dry with broken cloud. Mist and fog patches in western and southern Ireland. Highs at 13 to 18C.

Friday 6/9/19
An area of low pressure passes southeast through Scotland on Friday. A band of rain associated with the low pressure pushes south through the UK. The rain will be heavy at times in the north but is likely to be more showery as it reaches southern coasts by late afternoon. Becoming brighter as the rain clears, a few showers in the north and west. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.

Saturday 7/9/19
Low pressure east of the UK on Saturday brings a cool northerly flow and a mix of sunny spells and a few showers in the east. Increasing cloud in the west allowing for rain into Ireland and western Scotland. Increasing cloud generally in the west. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, 21C in the south.
 

Sunday 8/9/19
A weak front into the west of the UK and Ireland on Sunday bringing come low cloud, drizzle and a risk of fog patches over western coasts. Brighter in the east and south with hazy spells of sunshine. Highs at 13 to 20C.

Monday 9/9/19
Weak fronts affecting Scotland and Ireland on Monday giving periods of rain and drizzle. There could be some drizzle in central and northern England too. Drier in the south of England with brighter weather into western Ireland and western Scotland. Tops at 14 to 17C for most, 19C in southeast England.

Tuesday 10/9/19
A fair day is likely over much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland, but a risk of some rain in western Ireland and western Scotland. Highs at 16 to 23C.
