Becoming more settled and warmer after rain and showers

High pressure is going to be building through the remainder of the week and into the weekend. This brings dry weather and rising temperatures, perhaps very warm in southern parts as we head into next week. Rain may affect northern Scotland, breezy here too. A tendency towards cloudier conditions next week.

Saturday 14/9/19
High pressure remains in Ireland, England and Wales. Sunny spells after the clearance of mist and fog patches. Warm in the afternoon. Increased cloud in Scotland with the threat of some rain and drizzle to the north and west of Scotland. Gales in northern Scotland. Temperatures at 24C in southern England, 16C in northern Scotland and feeling muggy.

Sunday 15/9/19
High pressure west of Ireland on Sunday and affecting much of England and Wales. There will be sunny spells and it should be staying warm. Coud and some rain in Northern Ireland and northern England as well as southern Scotland. Brighter in central and northern Scotland, cooler here too with a few showers. Windy in northern Scotland. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 26C in southern England.

Monday 16/9/19
Higher pressure persists over the UK and Ireland on Monday. There will be broken cloud and it is likely to be rather humid too. A risk of some drizzle over western coasts of Ireland, Wales and England. Best of the sunshine to the east. Highs at 13 to 25C.

 
 
 

Tuesday 17/9/19
High pressure persists on Tuesday. Low cloud, drizzle and coastal mist and fog on western coasts and hills. Eastern and southern areas will see cloud break with bright or sunny spells developing, the best in the east. Highs at 16 to 23C.

Wednesday 18/9/19
Pressure stays high again on Wednesday. There will be some morning mist and fog patches. These clear to leave broken cloud and sunny spells. Highs at 16 to 25C.

Thursday 19/9/19
Another fair and warm day with high pressure in control through Thursday. Long spells of sunshine. Temperatures at 18 to 28C.
