Mild by weekend

A fairly unsettled week ahead again with spells of heavy rain sweeping in from the Atlantic. Breezy or windy too. Temperatures around average, becoming a little milder toward the weekend as southerly airflows prevail.

Wednesday 23/11/22
Heavy rain sweeps eastwards across England and Wales, followed by clusters of showers with heavy bursts of rain, hail and thunder across southwestern areas. Rain also affects southern Scotland, but northern areas will be drier. Showery too for Ireland. Brisk south to southwesterly winds. Highs 7 to 12C, mildest southeast.
 

Thursday 24/11/22
A dry start across eastern and central areas of Britain and much of Scotland, but another batch of heavy rain moves in from the southwest across Ireland and into western England and Wales. Rain becomes widespread later in the day. Strong southerly winds, gales near coasts. Highs 8 to 13C, mildest south.
 

Friday 25/11/22
Southwesterly breezes bring showers to west and southwestern regions of Britain, most frequent near the coasts, some heavy with hail and chance of thunder. Brighter and drier with sunny spells in central and eastern districts. Highs 8 to 12C.

 
 
 

Saturday 26/11/22
Strong south to southwesterly winds continue. A dry start for many, staying driest for longest in eastern counties. Further rain moves into western regions, setting in heavily across southwestern England and Wales. Highs 9 to 12C.

Sunday 27/11/22
Dry toward the south and east with sunny spells. A band of rain may affect western regions. Fairly mild with southerly winds. Highs 9 to 14C.

Monday 28/11/22
Cloudy and misty across central, south and eastern Britain, but mainly dry. Patchy rain or drizzle in the west and across Scotland. Fairly mild, highs 8 to 13C.
