A very mild weekend, then cooler and unsettled next week

A very mild weekend with mostly dry weather. Some drizzle or outbreaks of rain in the west, but sunny spells for many. A sharp temperature change next week as cooler, more unsettled winds arrive from the west. There will be showers, some of them heavy and it will be windy at times too.

Monday 14/11/22
A bright and dry start across eastern areas on Monday. There will be sunny spells and it should be dry here, although there could be some morning mist and fog patches which will soon clear. Wetter across western parts with some heavy bursts of rain and misty conditions over hills and coasts. The drizzle and rain will edge eastwards through the afternoon with many areas becoming misty and murky. Turning drier across Wales, Southwest England and Ireland in the afternoon and brighter here too. Highs at a cooler 11C in the west, 14C in the east.

Tuesday 15/11/22
A cooler day for all on Tuesday. Breezy in central and eastern areas in the morning but mostly dry here until rain arrives from the west later in the morning and through the afternoon. The rain will be heavy at times, and it will be affecting many western parts of the country throughout the morning. Becoming brighter again from the west later. Highs at 10 to 13C.

Wednesday 16/11/22
Low pressure close to northern Scotland on Wednesday brings heavy periods of rain here. Some heavy showers across central and southern England as well, these clearing slowly eastwards. Brighter weather for most other areas, although always a risk of some showers. Temperatures at 8 to 12C.

Thursday 17/11/22
An area of low pressure passing through Ireland on Thursday. This brings heavy showers and some bright or sunny spells. Rain may affect northern and eastern Scotland. Feeing cool. Highs at 8 to 11C.

Friday 18/11/22
Low pressure east of Scotland on Friday. A day of sunny spells and showers. The showers heavy at times in the west and south, fewer of them in the east. Highs at 8 to 11C.

Saturday 19/11/10/22
A ridge of high pressure gives a dry start to Saturday morning. Some sunny spells and a risk of some fog patches. These clear to leave the day dry with sunny spells although strong winds and rain may sweep into the west later. Highs around 8 to 12C.
