Wind, rain and showers becoming drier later in the week

An unsettled week overal. Low pressure bringing rain and showers as well as strong winds with gales at times. Temperatures will be cool. Higher pressure starting to build towards the end of the forecast with the weather then turning drier and milder for a time.

Tuesday 22/11/22
Low pressure crossing England and Wales on Tuesday. Showers for many, especially in southern areas where some of them may be heavy and thundery at times. Cloud and some rain affecting eastern Scotland with more persistent rain in northern Scotland. Orkney and Shetland. There will be some sunny spells too, best of these in the west. It will be a chilly day with high sat 6 to 9C.

Wednesday 23/11/22
Wednesday sees low pressure close to Ireland. This brings an unsettled day with an area of rain passing north and east, some of the rain heavy. Showers following from the west and these will be heavy and thundery. Wind in places, especially the west and south. Temperatures at 8 to 12C.

Thursday 24/11/22
A weak ridge of high pressure builds through the country on Thursday. A few showers early in the morning, then fair with sunny spells and dry conditions. Rain and strong winds passing into Ireland, Wales and southwest England later. Highs at 9 to 12C.

Friday 25/11/22
Low pressure crosses the British Isles again on Friday. This brings strong winds and heavy bursts of showery rain. Some bright spells between the showers. Highs at 8 to 12C.

Saturday 26/11/22
High pressure starting to show some signs of building on Saturday. There may be some fog on Saturday morning. The fog lifting and clearing. A risk of some low cloud and drizzle affecting western and southern coasts and hills. Brighter in the north and east. Highs at 9C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.

Sunday 27/11/10/22
High pressure continues to build on Sunday, centred east of the country. Low pressure west of Ireland. A windy day in many areas with some rain in Ireland. Dry for most with sunny spells. Highs at 9 to 11C.
