Very mild for a few days before turning stormy and cooler next week

Higher pressure builds to the south and east for a time this week bringing more settled, very mild weather. Always a risk of some drizzle in the west though with strong winds here. Turning more unsettled late in the weekend and the risk of some stormy conditions early next week. Temperatures are likely to become cooler next week too.

Friday 11/11/22
Higher pressure continues to influence much of England and Wales on Friday with the centre of the high over continental Europe. Bright and very mild for most of England and Wales with sunny spells. Some drizzle may affect southwest coasts, western Wales and parts of northwest England. Cloudier skies and some rain in central and western Scotland and Ireland, most in the west. It is going to be a windy day in the north too with gales in Scotland. Highs at 14 to 18C.

Saturday 12/11/22
High pressure east of the country on Saturday with low pressure to the west. There may be some mist and fog in eastern areas at first, this clearing. Low cloud may affect southwest England, coasts of west Wales and the south and east of Ireland. Some rain in northwest Scotland and the far west of Ireland. Fair and very mild elsewhere. The best sunshine in eastern areas. Highs around 13 to 16C.

Sunday 13/11/22
Fronts bringing cloud and rain across Ireland and western parts of the UK on Sunday. The rain could be heavy at times with winds increasing. Tending to be dry in eastern parts of the country with some bright or sunny spells. Highs at 15 to 18C.

Monday 14/11/22
A deep area of low pressure may well moves into Ireland and the UK on Monday. This could bring an area of storm force winds with gusts of 70 to 80mph. Heavy rain may also be associated with the storm system. It is likely that the rain and winds will hit later in the day. Probably less fierce weather in Scotland. Highs at 11 to 14C.

Tuesday 15/11/22
The deep area of low pressure continues to affect the British Isles on Tuesday. Gale force winds and some heavy rain or showers in many areas. Mot of the rain in northern and western areas. There is a risk of some snow over the high ground of Scotland. Some brighter spells in central and eastern areas. Highs at 7 to 11C.

Wednesday 16/11/10/22
Low pressure may bring severe gales and some heavy rain on Tuesday. The detail is uncertain at this stage. Highs at 10 to 14C.
