Southwesterly weather patterns prevail through this week, with spells of rain and brisk winds. Heaviest rain will affect western regions, bringing rising river levels and a risk of flooding. Some indications of drier weather into next week.

Thursday 24/11/22 A dry day across eastern and central areas of Britain with sunshine and variable cluod. Heavy rain moves in from the southwest across Ireland and into western Britain. Rain becomes widespread later in the day. Strong southerly winds, gales near western coasts. Highs 8 to 13C, mildest south.
Friday 25/11/22 Southwesterly breezes bring showers to west and southwestern regions of Britain, most frequent near the coasts, some heavy with hail and chance of thunder. Brighter and drier with sunny spells in central and eastern districts. Highs 8 to 12C.
Saturday 26/11/22 South to southwesterly winds in the west with rain for Ireland which may extend into western Britain. Dry for central and eastern areas with some early fog in the east. Cloud thickening from the west. Highs 8 to 12C.
Sunday 27/11/22 Dry toward the south and east with sunny spells. A band of rain may affect western regions. Fairly mild with southerly winds. Highs 9 to 14C.
Monday 28/11/22 Cloudy and misty across central, south and eastern Britain, but mainly dry. Patchy rain or drizzle in the west and across Scotland. Fairly mild, highs 8 to 13C.
Tuesday 29/11/22 Southern regions look dry with some fog. Areas of cloud and sunshine. Risk of showery rain in the northwest. Highs 5 to 9C.
