Dry for many this week and rather warm too

It's likely to be a mostly fair week as high pressure begins to build back over the UK nd Ireland. This should give some fair weather conditions with sunshine for all. Rainfall is likely to be limited. It may be warm or even very warm on a few days in the south and east and air spreads from the continent.

Wednesday 29/8/18
Low pressure passes to the southeast of the UK on Wednesday taking an area of thundery rain across the far southeast of England. More northern and western parts will see some early showers, but an improvement here as a ridge of high pressure builds bringing sunny spells and drier weather. Temperatures at 15 to 20C.

Thursday 30/8/18
High pressure building through the UK and Ireland on Thursday. This gives a fair day with sunny spells for all. Just a low risk of a shower over coasts of eastern England. Feeling warmer too with tops of 14 to 23C.


 
 
 

Friday 31/8/18
The high pressire gives another fair day over much of England and Wales. Good spells of sunshine here and staying dry. Highs at 16 to 23C.

 
 
 

Saturday 1/9/18
A more westerly flow and fronts bring some cloud and rain to northern Scotland on Saturday. A ridge of high pressure to the south leaves England, Wales and southern Ireland mostly dry with sunny intervals. The risk of some low cloud and drizzle affecting western coasts and hills. Highs at 14 to 25C.

Sunday 2/9/18
Pressure is expected to be high again over the UK and Ireland on Sunday. This should give dry weather with sunny spells and warmer weather too. The chance of some cloud and drizzle in western Ireland and western Scotland. Highs at 26C in southeast England, more widely 17 to 22C.

Monday 3/9/18
A cold front passing east through Scotland and Ireland on Monday taking a band of cloud and some showery rain with it. Following will be a mix of sunshine and scattered showers. Most of England and Wales should be dry with sunny spells. Highs at a warm 26C in southern England, 14C in northern Scotland.
