UK Forecast - August 26, 2018
Fresh, bright & breezy
Any showers fading

Monday
A brisk westerly wind for many northern and western parts of the country this morning. There will be god spells of sunshine and it will be feeling fresher too. Some showers in northern and western Scotland, northwest England and western Ireland but drier elsewhere. Any showers should be fading this afternoon to leave lots of sunshine and more dry weather for all areas. The winds should be easing too. Temperatures rising to 16 to 20C, feeling cool in the breeze.

Monday Night
A chilly night ahead under clearing sies and light winds. It should be dry for most. However, later in the night cloud will increase in the far west of Ireland and the far west of Scotland. This cloud may be thick enough to produce some spots of drizzle on western coasts and hills. Lows at 5 to 9C, perhaps with a touch of ground frost in more sheltered areas.

Tuesday
Higher pressure tending to build in more southern areas on Tuesday. This should lead to a fine day with plenty of sunshine as well as feeling warm. A front in western Scotland and western areas slips slowly eastwards bringing some outbreaks of rain here. Most parts of the UK and Ireland away from these western areas stay dry. Highs at 25C in central and eastern England, 15C in western Scotland.

Wednesday
Low pressure passes to the southeast of the UK on Wednesday taking an area of thundery rain across the far southeast of England. More northern and western parts will see some early showers, but an improvement here as a ridge of high pressure builds bringing sunny spells and drier weather. Temperatures at 15 to 20C.
