Wednesday
A weakening cold front brings cloud and some outbreaks of light rain to parts of Wales, the Midlands, central, southern and southwest England on Wednesday morning. This will be slowly drifting into East Anglia and Southeast England through the afternoon. Becoming brighter across northern England and the north and west of Wales. Sunny spells for much of Ireland and Scotland and feeling colder here. Showers will affect western Scotland and western Ireland, these heavy at times. Eastern Scotland and eastern Ireland should be dry with sunny spells. Highs at 8 to 10C for many, but 12C in the southeast.

Wednesday Night
The front will clear the southeast during the evening allowing for a largely dry night here with clear skies. Cloudier elsewhere with some showers affecting western areas, drier further east. Heavier, more persistent rainfall looking likely to move into the Western Isles and far west of Scotland towards dawn. A chilly night for many with lows between 1 and 6C.
 

Thursday
A southwest flow affects all parts of the British Isles on Thursday. There will be a fair amount of cloud with some outbreaks of showery rain across much of northern England, Wales, the Midlands and Southwest England. A few spots of rain may affect East Anglia and the south-east in the afternoon. More persistent rain into the west of Scotland and western Ireland. Broken cloud and a few brighter spells in northeast England and eastern Scotland as well as parts of Wales in the afternoon. Winds gradually strengthening. Tops at 10 to 14C.

Friday
Central and southern areas of Britain will start cloudy and wet as a band of rain passes southeastwards, clearing the southeast later on in the day. Meanwhile, a cooler and more showery conditions will affect the north and west, with some sunny spells too. The showers turning heavy and increasingly wintry over high ground through the day and there may even be some snow at low levels in parts of Scotland in the heavy showers. A blustery day and feeling especially chilly in the wind. Tops at 7 to 11C.
