Thursday
Broken cloud this morning across much of England and Wales. There will be some sunny spells around, best in the east. Some showers affecting the northwest of Wales as well as northwest England. Rather drizzly in western Scotland where it will be turning increasingly damp through the day. Drier in Ireland at first, but rain arriving from the west through this afternoon and heading east this evening. Most places will be staying dry though with further spells of sunshine throughout this afternoon. Winds increasing in the west. Highs around 10 to 14C.


Thursday Night
A breezy night with showery rain developing in much of central and southern England. An area of heavier rain and squally winds pushes east across Ireland and western Scotland. Mostly dry in eastern England although the winds picking up here with some showery in East Anglia and the southeast by the morning. Lows around 5 to 8C.
 


Friday
A cold front sweeps eastwards on Friday bring an area of heavy, squally rain across much of England and Wales. For Scotland it will be a brighter morning with sunny spells although feeling colder but with showers in the west. Brighter weather follows to northern and western part of England and Wales during the morning although heavy showers will be developing in some of these could be turning sundry across Wales and southwest England. Further heavy showers and strong winds across Ireland after a drier start in the east. Showers turning increasingly wintry in Scotland and over the high ground of northern England, Ireland and Wales during the day. Highs at 7 to 11C, but turning cooler during the day.


Saturday
A weak ridge of high pressure brings a brighter start to the day over much of the country, although some cloud and outbreaks of drizzle and low cloud affecting hills of southern England and Wales. The best of the sunshine in eastern areas. Cloud increases through Ireland and western Scotland bringing rain for the afternoon, this turning more persistent in western Ireland with the winds increasing to gale force. Drizzle over high ground of northwest England and western Wales as well as southwest England later. Highs at 9 to 11C.
