Tuesday
A cold start to the morning with low cloud and fog patches affecting many central and eastern areas of the country. Fair in the west with some sunny spells, although still cold. The low cloud should break and lift in the east through the morning and into the afternoon, most places becoming brighter and dry. Always the chance of some low cloud affecting eastern coasts. Thicker cloud in southwest England bringing some showers and outbreaks of rain here. Highs at 7 to 12C, feeling colder in the east.

Tuesday Night
More low cloud and fog forming in northern, central and eastern parts of England through tonight. Clearer skies in northwest England, Scotland and much of Ireland, these allowing for a widespread frost here. More cloud and some showers in southwest England and the far south of Wales. Lows at 0C under the clearer skies, 4C in southwest England.
 

Wednesday
A shallow area of low pressure is expected to be crossing central and southern areas of England on Wednesday. This brings some showery periods of rain across much of southern and eastern Wales as well as central and southern England. These showery bursts of rain are likely to be continuing into the afternoon. Drier in other areas of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland, some low cloud and a few spot of drizzle drifting onto eastern coasts of England and Scotland. The best of sny sunshine in western Scotland and parts of Ireland. Highs at 8 to 12C for most areas, but 5C on cloudier coasts of northeast England.

Thursday
A northeast flow over the UK and Ireland on Thursday. This brings cloud through many central and eastern areas. Some spots of rain and showers in the east too. This area slips south through northeast England and East Anglia through the morning and into the afternoon. Tending to be brighter in the west and south with sunny spells and dry weather. Morning mist and fog patches may affect Scotland and northern England, these clearing. Highs at 5 to 10C.
