Monday
Heavy periods of rain this morning for Scotland, some of it thundery. Drier for other areas with sunny spells, although the chance of an isolated shower over western coasts. This afternoon sees the rain continuing in northwest Scotland, although this fading. Other areas remaining dry with sunny spells, although still a few showers over western coasts and hills. Highs at 25C in eastern areas of England, 16C in northwest Scotland but 22 to 24C for most.


Monday Night
Rain slowly clears northwest Scotland tonight. Dry for most with some clear skies developing. Thundery rain arriving in southern England by midnight, this then edging north to the Midlands, Wales and East Anglia through the early hours. Lows at 11 to 14C.

 
 
 


Tuesday
An area of thundery rain in the Midlands, eastern and southern England on Tuesday morning. Further thundery showers developing in Wales, Ireland and western Scotland. Further thunderstorms over Ireland, Wales and western England in the afternoon. Scattered showers in eastern England as the morning rain clears. Sunny spells elsewhere. Highs at 18C in eastern areas, 21 to 23C for others.


Wednesday
A weak ridge of high pressure builds through Wednesday. This brings a morning of sunny spells, although some showers developing too. ost showers in Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as northern England. The best brightness in southern areas, sunny spells for many. Highs at 17C in northwest Scotland, 25C in East Anglia, widely 22 to 24C.
