Sunday
Low pressure northeast of Scotland. Staying windy for all with fresh westerlies, up to gale force across the north and east of Scotland. Heavy showers in the north and west, including Northern Ireland, merging into some longer spells of rain, possibly thundery. Passing showers for Wales. Well scattered brief showers for the Midlands and northeast. Mostly dry with sunny spells in the south and east of England. Highs 15 to 24C, warmest southeast.


Sunday night
Showers will continue to affect the far north and western coasts and hills overnight, some reaching into more central areas but many should stay dry yet breezy. Outbreaks of rain, at times heavy, affect Ireland by morning. Lows at 7 to 11C.

 
 
 


Monday
Low pressure and a westerly flow influences the country to start the week. Showers and longer spells of rain for northern and western areas of the UK move into central and eastern areas through the day. The far south and southeast of England likely to stay largely dry with sunny spells. A breezy day for many, particularly through parts of England. Highs 15 to 23C, warmest southeast.


Tuesday
Areas of showery rain, most frequent again in the north and west of Britain and Ireland. Variable cloud and some sunshine for the south and east of England. A westerly breeze, but less windy than previous days. An area of low pressure rolls in from the west later in the day bringing a risk of widespread rain by evening and night. Highs 16 to 23C, warmest southeast.
