Cool
Rain southeast

Saturday
Low pressure to the south of the UK drifts east through the day bringing cloud and periods of rain across south-central and southeast England on Saturday. Some cloud and a few showers affecting southern and eastern Wales, the Midlands and northern England. Drier and brighter elsewhere with sunny spells, although still a risk of some showers in the north and west. A chilly day for all. Highs at 4 or 5C in northern Scotland, 8C in central parts of England but more widely at 6 or 7C for most.

Saturday Night
Rain gradually clears the far southeast of England overnight from Saturday into Sunday though some drizzle may persist along the coast. Holding onto cloudier skies here too. Elsewhere skies clear allowing temperatures to plummet and a widespread frost to form. Overnight lows will be widely sub-zero at -4 to -1C. Colder in more rural spots but around freezing in the far southeast.

Sunday
Low pressure over the Low Countries could bring further patchy light rain to East Anglia and southeast England early on Sunday. Some cloud through the Midlands and southern England, a risk of a few showers here. These showers could also affect eastern England. Brighter in Scotland, northwest England, Wales and Ireland and mostly dry too though a front arrives from the Atlantic later bringing rain, sleet and hill snow to northwest Scotland and Ireland. Another cold day. Daytime highs widely at 5 to 9C, just 4C in northern Scotland.

Monday
High pressure to the southwest on Monday brings broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells for many parts of England, Wales and southern Ireland. Low pressure to the northwest however brings thicker cloud across much of Scotland and Ireland with some outbreaks of rain here. Some showers, light rain or drizzle may affect northwestern parts of England and Wales at times too. Highs at 5 to 11C.
