Cold, heavy showers
Frost in west tonight

Wednesday
Heavy showers Wales, the Midlands and southwest England this morning. Drier in the eastern Midlands and East Anglia. Some showers too in northeast England and eastern Scotland, the best sunshine in western Scotland and the west of Ireland. Breezy and cold in Wales and northern England as well as southern Scotland. This afternoon sees the risk of heavy and thundery showers in the Midlands, Wales, central and southwest England, merging to longer spells of rain at times. Further showers in northern and eastern Scotland. Drier and bright in Ireland and the rest of eastern England. Highs at a chilly 8 to 14C.


Wednesday Night
More rain tonight in southern and southeast England, this slipping East Anglia as well. The rain could be thundery at times. Scattered showers blowing into northeast England and eastern Scotland. A few showers in northwest Scotland and western Ireland. Turning drier over most of the rest of England and Wales as well as Ireland. Windy in the southeast. A touch of frost in western England and Wales as well as central Ireland with lows of -1 to 2C, nearer 5 C in East Anglia and southeast England.


Thursday
Low pressure is over the Low Countries on Thursday with a northeast flow over all of the British Isles. There will be some sunny spells in the morning, although cloud developing quickly. Showers in eastern England and Scotland, these becoming heavier and more widespread across much of the northern and eastern Midlands, northern England and Scotland as well as Ireland in the afternoon. Drier in other areas with brief bright spells. Feeling cold for all with highs at 8 to 11C.


Friday
The cold northeast flow persists on Friday. Starting dry at forst with some sunny spells. Showers quickly developing in southwest England and continuing over the coasts of eastern England and eastern Scotland. The showers growing over northeast England and eastern Scotland as well as East Anglia. Some heavy, thundery showers too in Wales and southwest England as well as much of Ireland. Drier in other places with some bright or sunny spells. Highs at 9 to 13C.
