Bright weekend
Breezy south

Saturday
High pressure remains across the whole of the country through Saturday. Some cloud in Ireland, Wales and southern England, although some sunny spells here as well. Best of the sunshine in Scotland though there will be some cloud here too to the northwest. Staying breezy in southern Ireland and southern England, together with the risk of a few spots of rain or drizzle in southern Ireland. Highs at 13 to 16C for most, warmest to the west; feeling cold on eastern coasts at just 9 or 10C here.

Saturday Night
A dry night with variable amounts of cloud around. Cloud probably thickest to the north and east with clearer skies further southwest. Overnight lows at 0 to 4C for many allowing a widespread but patchy frost to develop. Milder over northwestern Scotland and the far west of Ireland.

Sunday
High pressure is probably going to be over the north of the country on Sunday. An easterly flow in southern areas with broken cloud for many. The best of any brightness is likely to be in the west. Sunnier skies in northern Scotland but also a chance of isolated showers developing here. Patchy rain arrives to the far northwest of Scotland through the evening. Highs at just 9 to 11C on eastern coasts, more widely at 12 to 16C, warmest west.

Monday
A small area of low pressure may drift into northern Scotland on Monday. This brings some rain here, most in the north and west, some locally heavy. Drier for the rest of Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland. Broken cloud and bright spells, the best of the sunshine in the south. Highs at just 9C in northern Scotland, 11 to 14C across much of England and Wales, and 14 to 16C through Ireland.
