Heavy rain in SE
Heat eases

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 25th August 2022
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Reasonably high rainfall totals for some in the SE.

Good morning,

A largely cloudy start across England with spells of rain affecting central, southern and eastern regions of England, heavy, persistent and perhaps thundery across the southeast. Temperatures ease back here too. Sunny spells develop from the north and west through the day.

Further rain progressively affects western parts of Ireland and Northern Ireland through the day. Largely dry with sunny spells elsewhere though scattered showers through western Scotland.

Overnight, cloud and rain affects many regions of Ireland and Northern Ireland while pushing into southwest Scotland and affecting western counties of England and Wales. It will be rather grey and murky for many here too first thing on Friday. Dry with clear spells further east.

Have a good one.

Alexi
