Torrential rain and thunderstorms across central Europe, including Germany

Thursday
Showers continuing across the far north of Spain today. A few showers in the east but southern areas should be dry. The Balearics are likely to be fine too with some sunshine. Corsica and Sardinia should be bright and dry, a few showers in central parts of Italy. Greece may have some heavy showers and western Turkey will be seeing showers too. The east of Turkey should be dry and bright.
France will have some torrential showers in the south, but northern areas are likely to be dry with sunny spells. Broken cloud in the Low Countries with some thundery rain in eastern parts of Germany. Central and western parts of Germany should be dry. Hungary is going to be dry with some sunshine whilst Austria and Switzerland will be seeing some showers.
Denmark will have a fair day with plenty of sunshine here. More sunny spells for the Baltic States, although a scattering of showers. Finland will be dry with good spells of sunshine. Sweden should be dry too with plenty of sunshine. Some rain in western Norway and this will be heavy to the south.

Friday
Thunderstorms developing again across eastern areas of Spain later in the day, these reaching the Balearic islands. Windy in the north too. Otherwise dry and fine across Spain and Portugal. Scattered, heavy showers across Italy into Sicily and Corsica. Largely dry across Sardinia. A few developing showers for Greece but mostly dry and fine with sunshine here. Heavy showers affecting Turkey.
Showers becoming confined to the east with again torrential showers in the far south. Elsewhere here, dry with sunny spells. Mostly dry across the Low Countries. Heavy showers affecting much of Germany and Denmark into Austria and Switzerland and northern Italy. Czechia too will see heavy showers. Largely dry across Poland and Hungary.
Heavy rain easing across Norway. Dry with sunny spells through Sweden, Finland and the Baltic states thanks to high pressure close by.
