Wednesday 26/08/20
Low pressure tracks eastwards and fills while high pressure attempts to build in behind to the southwest. A mostly fine and dry day for Ireland with an improving picture across Wales and southern England. A trailing front could mean that parts of Northern Ireland, southern Scotland and the north of England could hold on to showers throughout much of the day and there will be a chilly northerly wind along eastern coasts of the country. Highs at 14C to 21C, cooler to the far north.

Thursday 27/08/20
A largely dry and fine start to the day is expected before another area of low pressure to the west brings cloudier skies and patchy outbreaks of rain to Ireland and much of the UK. These may turn heavier through the afternoon and evening for southern parts of Ireland and the southwest of the UK. Staying dry to the far north of Scotland. High temperatures range from 13 to 21C.

Friday 28/08/20
An area of low pressure moves slowly to the east across the south of England bringing outbreaks of rain to Ireland, England and Wales, these locally heavy. Rain clears from the west throughout the day allowing drier and brighter but cooler conditions to spread across Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Wales and northern England. Rain may linger to the far southeast for much of the day. Highs at 13 to 19C.

Saturday 29/08/20
Low pressure to the east and high pressure to the west maintain a cool northerly flow on Saturday. Another mostly bright day with isolated showers affecting northern and eastern coastal areas as well as north-facing hills and mountains. Highs range from 12 to 18C.

Sunday 30/08/20
Sunday stays mostly dry and fine across much of the British Isles with higher pressure here. Isolated showers are possible but these should be light. Low pressure to the west of Ireland brings increasingly cloudy skies here later in the day. Highs range from 13 to 19C.

Monday 31/08/20
High pressure is squeezed eastward on Monday but brings a mostly fine and dry day to Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland though cloud increases from the west through the day. Cloudier for Ireland with rain spreading slowly from the west through the day. Highs at 13 to 18C.
