Wednesday 19/08/20
Low pressure west of Ireland on Wednesday sends a band of rain northeastward over Ireland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland through the morning reaching into Scotland later in the day. Staying mostly dry but rather cloudy for Scotland ahead of this. Scattered showers follow behind this, these becoming very heavy over southwestern areas later. A windy day for southern and western areas, especially southwestern coastal counties of England. Highs at 18C in parts of northern Scotland, 20 to 25C for many.

Thursday 20/08/20
Low pressure remains close to Ireland on Thursday. Fronts pass northeastward through the day taking bands of rain and showers across the country but most areas will see good spells of sunshine develop in between. Another breezy day for northern and western areas where coastal gales are possible. High temperatures at 16 or 17C in the west, 26C in the east.

Friday 21/08/20
Low pressure stays to the northwest of the UK on Friday. This brings strong winds and lots of cloud with periods of rain and showers. Much of the rain falling over Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and western parts of England. Staying drier for southeastern and eastern parts of England which will also see the best of the sun. Highs range from 16 to 24C.

Saturday 22/08/20
Low pressure moves east on Saturday bringing the UK and Ireland into a westerly flow. This brings a mix of sunny spells, showers and some more persistent outbreaks of rain. The showers will be heaviest to the west, especially over western Scotland. Fewer showers in more central areas while some eastern areas will stay largely dry. Highs at 15 to 23C.

Sunday 23/08/20
A westerly flow persists into Sunday for the British Isles. Fewer showers than on Saturday but they will continue to affect western areas, especially western Ireland. Mostly dry elsewhere with some good spells of sunshine for many. Highs of 14 to 21C.

Monday 24/08/20
Monday could see the arrival of another area of low pressure from the Atlantic. There is some uncertainty as to the exact track of this low but it will bring a mixed day with outbreaks of rain, showers and some spells of sunshine. Highs of just 13 to 19C.
