Showers or longer spells of rain initially before more widespread dry weather comes in. Becoming very warm through the week.

Through the first half of the week the north and west will see showers or longer spells of rain push across before drier conditions come about. The south and southeast will stay largely dry. Temperatures will hot up at the end of the week before easing slightly over the weekend.

Wednesday 05/08/20
A wet and generally unsettled day on Wednesday for the north and the west. Outbreaks of rain affecting Ireland and Northern Ireland should clear in the afternoon however, to allow for dry and fine conditions to develop behind. Central southern and southeastern areas of England should stay dry throughout with sunny spells. Expect a brisk southwesterly wind for many. Highs of around 20C in the north and warming up in the southeast with highs around 25C.


Thursday 06/08/20
Thursday currently looks to be a mostly dry day for many with plenty of sunny spells about, however, showers or even longer spells of rain look to break out across central England, Wales and parts of northern and eastern Ireland and Northern Ireland during the day. Southern places basking in the sunshine could see temperatures climb to very warm highs at around 28C. Temperatures around 21C further north and west.


Friday 07/08/20
Largely dry and fine and feeling very warm in the south and southeast for the end of the week. The north and west could see more in the way of cloud about with showery outbreaks of rain developing, mainly during the afternoon. Currently, Wales looks to remain mostly dry with sunshine, however northern and western regions will be cloudier with scattered showers. Temperatures widely feeling warm to very warm and hot in the southeast with highs of around 32C in the southeast, 27C across central England and 22C further north and west.


Saturday 08/08/20
High pressure tries to become more established over the UK come Saturday although outbreaks of rain in northern parts could scuppper this developing widely across the UK. Watch for some thundery downspours developing across southern regions later in the day. There will also be plenty of sunshine about too. Staying hot in the south and southeast with highs at 30C, highs of 25C further north and 19C across Scotland and Ireland.

Sunday 09/08/20
High pressure continues to build during Sunday allowing for a mostly dry and fine day with plenty of sunshine about. There is just the risk of some isolated showers developing over Ireland however later on. Temperatures cooler today as as a northeasterly wind direction comes about with highs of 26C in the south and 18C further north.

Monday 10/08/20
High pressure still in charge for the start of the new week with plenty of dry and fine conditions had throughout the day. Highs of 24C in the south and 18C further north.
