Monday 24/08/20
Starting wet on Monday with spells of rain across Ireland, Northern Ireland as well as across western parts of Wales, northwest England and west Scotland with low pressure to the west of Scotland. Meanwhile, central and eastern areas will be dry and fine with sunshine. Cloud will soon thicken across these areas and rain will become widespread across the country, although the southeast of England should stay dry throughout. Through the afternoon rain should clear western parts of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Highs range from 15C in the north to 22C in the south.

Tuesday 25/08/20
An unsettled day on Tuesday as a deep area of low pressure tracks eastwards across Ireland and the northern half of the UK. A band of rain, heavy at times, will push east with winds strengthening for all. Gales affecting coastal regions in the west and south. The far southeast of England will stay drier for longer before rain reaches this region later on. Behind the rain band expect sunny spells and some scattered showers. High temperatures range from 14 to 22C.

Wednesday 26/08/20
Low pressure tracks eastwards and fills while high pressure attempts to build in behind to the west. This will allow for Ireland and Northern Ireland to see mostly dry and fine conditions with an improving picture across Wales and western England. Scotland could hold on to showers or longer spells of rain throughout much of the day and there will be a chilly brisk northerly wind along eastern coasts of the country. High temperatures at 14C to 20C.

Thursday 27/08/20
A largely dry and fine day is expected now on Thursday as a transient ridge of high pressure builds in over the country. A weak front to the northwest may bring cloud and isolated showers to northwestern parts of Ireland and the UK at times. High temperatures range from 15 to 22C.

Friday 28/08/20
High pressure gets squashed further east on Friday but still allows for continued dry and fine conditions for much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland. Cloudy skies and patchy outbreaks of rain affect Ireland, Northern Ireland and western Scotland. High temperatures range from 14 to 21C.

Saturday 29/08/20
High pressure is squeezed southeast on Saturday with dry and fine conditions persisting through the day for England and Wales. Low pressure to the northwest brings cloud and outbreaks of rain into Ireland, Northern Ireland and across much of Scotland. Highs range from 16 to 23C.
