Wet and windy, milder through the weekend but then perhaps cooler by mid-week
An unsettled period of weather developing towards the weekend. Temperatures will be turning milder as more persistent rain brings the risk of some flooding. Next week stays milder for a time, although there are some hints of colder weather slipping south through Scotland and northern England later in the week.

Monday 25/11/19 Low pressure remains in control of the weather through Monday. It is likely to be windy and there will be heavy showers spreading to all areas. Perhaps drier to the east later with broken cloud. Brighter spells here too. A breezy day for southern and eastern areas. High temperatures at 9 to 13C.
Tuesday 26/11/19 One area of low pressure clears to the north while another moves in from the southwest on Tuesday. Showery outbreaks of rain for Scotland first thing, drier and brighter here later. Heavy rain to the southwest first thing spreading across Ireland, Wales and England through the day. Highs at 8 to 13C.
Wednesday 27/11/19 Low pressure is over the UK and Ireland again on Wednesday. Rain and strong winds, probably mostly in the north and south. More central areas should be drier with some bright or sunny spells. High temperatures at 7 to 13C.
Thursday 28/11/19 It may become cooler in northern areas as a weak trough extends across the UK and Ireland. Sunny spells and heavy showers to the far north and south, these turning to sleet and snow over the hills of Scotland. Drier for more central regions. Highs at 6 to 11C.
Friday 29/11/19 Friday is likely to see lower pressure stay over the UK and Ireland. Detail is uncertain but it is likely to be breezy with outbreaks of rain and heavy showers. High temperatures at 5 to 12C.
Saturday 30/11/19 Saturday could see low pressure being squeezed to the south. Confidence is low but this would lead to further outbreaks of rain for England and Wales and a drier, brighter day for Ireland, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 5 to 10C.
