Monday
The main emphasis of the heavier rainfall will be across southern and southeastern counties of England, windy towards the coasts, perhaps affecting the far south of Wales for a time on Monday. A separate area of patchy rain will push southwards into southern Scotland and then across northern and central England affecting parts of Wales too. Largely dry with lengthy spells of sunshine across the rest of Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Highs at a chilly 10 to 13C across south and southeast England in the cloud, highs between 13 and 18C elsewhere.

Monday Night
Overnight, rain across southern English counties will gradually clear from the north to allow for largely dry conditions, although coastal areas may still continue to be affected by some rain. Patchy rain will fizzle out across central parts of England and Wales allowing for clear spells to develop here. Elsewhere, it will be largely dry, clear spells for many but cloud will thicken across the north and west during early hours. Lows at 3 to 10C.

Tuesday
A ridging area of high pressure is to bring a dry day for many on Tuesday, although to start the day there will be cloudier skies across southern far regions of England with rain likely to still affect some southeastern counties. This should gradually clear off with sunny spells developing. Meanwhile, cloud will increase across northern and western areas of Scotland and Ireland with some rain pushing in to the far west of Scotland and western parts of Ireland. Highs at 15 to 20C, cooler across the northwest.

Wednesday
Rain will affect mainly northern and western areas of the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. Initially affecting Ireland, Northern Ireland as well as north and west Scotland, before largely clearing Ireland while spreading into central and eastern areas of Scotland. Some patchy rain currently does look like it will afect parts of northern England and west Wales later in the day. Staying largely dry elsewhere with the best of any lasting sunshine across the south and east. Highs at 14 to 21C.
