Low pressure moving into southern Ireland on Wednesday will be bringing an area of thundery, heavy outbursts of rain with it. During the morning, expect these heavy bursts of rain to affect southern counties of Ireland, far south of Wales, as well as southwest England. There could be some thunder in places and it will become misty and murky for some as well. The afternoon will see the rain push up into Northern Ireland into southwest Scotland as well as western parts of England. Generally dry elsewhere with broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells. Highs at a muggy 19 to 26C.

Wednesday Night
Overnight, the band of rain will continue to push northwards, although looks to largely fizzle out across eastern areas and mainly only affect parts of southwest Scotland and northwest England. Heavy showers still affecting northern parts of Ireland as well as Northern Ireland, possibly thundery. Drier elsewhere with clear spells. Feeling potentially muggy in the southeast and parts of the west. Lows at 6C further north and northeast, but between 10 and 15C elsewhere.

Thursday
The remains of a front across western Scotland, Northern Ireland and East Anglia on Thursday bringing some cloud and outbreaks of rain. Showers will be affecting western parts of Ireland, but further east across Ireland, Wales, central and southern England it should be brighter with some sunny spells. A scattering of showers developing in the afternoon. The far north and north-east of Scotland should be staying dry and bright with some sunny spells. Highs at 19 to 26C.

Friday
A slack area of low pressure affects the UK and Ireland on Friday. Outbreaks of rain for the west of Scotland and Ireland. Broken cloud and feeling muggy in other areas, but some sunny spells developing and looking largely dry elsewhere. A risk of some thundery, heavy showers pushing into the far southeast of England later on. Highs at 17 to 23C.
