Shower risk for some
Warm in west

Wednesday
Cloudy skies for much of central and southeast England with the risk of some showery rain in the morning here on Wednesday. Low cloud and mist affecting some coasts around Scotland and England, bringing the risk of some light rain and drizzle. Mist should burn off for some through the day. Further west, there will be good spells of sunshine and feeling warm, but with the risk of shower development across southwest England and Wales. Highs at 19 to 25C in the west, cooler further east where there is more cloud.

Wednesday Night
Showers risk in the southwest is expected to fizzle out overnight. A mainly dry night thereafter with clear spells across southern areas, although more cloud cover for Scotland into north and east England. Lows at 6 to 12C.

Thursday
High pressure is the main weather feature on Thursday with plenty of dry weather about, however, there is a risk of developing showers across southwest England, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Stubborn low cloud and mist again in the morning across Scotland into north and eastern regions of England but this should gradually burn off from the north later on. Highs at a muggy 22 to 27C across western areas but cooler further east in the cloud.

Friday
On Friday high pressure brings a largely dry and fine day for many although with a risk of showers, a few could be heavy. Meanwhile, low pressure out in the Atlantic indicates the start of change as we head into the weekend. During the afternoon cloud cover will increase across Ireland and southwest England bringing rain later on for southwest Ireland. A warm and muggy day with highs at 21 to 27C.
