Sunday
Starting off rather cloudy for most on Sunday, there is likely to be still showery rain affecting some eastern coasts of England too, this gradually clearing offshore during the morning. Showers or longer spells of rain will affect parts of northern, central and western Scotland into Northern Ireland and parts of Ireland through the day. Staying largely cloudy across southern England and south Wales where some patchy mostly light rain will affect some southern English counties. Elsewhere, it should be dry with sunny spells developing. Highs at 11 to 21C.

Sunday Night
Overnight, some patchy rain will continue across parts central and southern regions of Scotland, also affecting some western and central areas of Ireland. Largely dry elsewhere but rather cloudy although there will be some rain pushing in to central southern coasts and southwestern areas of England into south Wales through the early hours. Lows at 7 to 13C.
 

Monday
The main emphasis of the heavier rainfall will be across southern English counties on Monday into south Wales. Largely cloudy across north Wales and central and northern England with some patchy lighter rain here but plenty of dry periods too. Drier and brighter across Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland, however, showers, some heavy, are expected to push across southern areas of Scotland. Highs at a chilly 10 to 13C in the rain across parts of England and Wales, between 14 and 18C in sunnier spells elsewhere.

Tuesday
A ridging area of high pressure is to bring a dry day for many on Tuesday, although to start the day there will be cloudier skies across southern parts of Britain with rain affecting southern and southeastern counties. This should qickly clear off for most with sunshine appearing from the west. The southeast though could hang on to any lingering patchy rain into the afternoon. Meanwhile, cloud will increase across northwestern areas with some rain pushing in to the far west of Scotland and northwest Ireland later. Highs at 15 to 20C.
